Do you have to get them all the same thing? My MOH (sisters) is in Community College and going to be a teacher, my other bridesmaid moved out to Cali and is waitressing, and my other bridesmaid lives/ works on a private boats. They are all also into to totally different things.... the partier, the artsy one, and the fancy one.

I want them all to love and use whatever I get them... is this totally crazy!?

Stina - I don't think it's crazy at all that you want your BM's to enjoy their gifts!! It would be be really strange if they all loved the exact same things anyways! I don't think you have to get all three of them identical items, but you can still get them the same item to suit their style. For example, you could get them all earrings, but for the partier go with big hoops, the artsy one get handmade glass beaded ones and the fancy one go with drop earrings with crystals or stones. So they're all getting the same object - earrings - but you can personalize them to each girl.

I personally think that in choosing your gifts to suit each person, they'll appreciate them more knowing that you tailored the gift especially to them.

Meghan, that's what I'm doing & I think it's a really nice touch to personalize gifts for each person. I found handmade necklaces & earrings on Etsy that suit each girl's personality and am having clutches made with a fabric that I think each girl will really love.

I went down to Chinatown the other day & picked up ivory pashminas for them to wear if it's chilly the night of the wedding. Each girl is wearing a different colored dress so I thought giving them all ivory would probably look the best.

I might do spa wraps & flip flops too, but I'm not sure yet. We're trying to decide if we can put some $ toward their trips.

I bought my MOH (his sister) a pashmina, starfish necklace (from another BDW bride), a new chain for the neckalce as Im not a big fan of the one it came with, a "bridesmaid" cosmetic bag with coconut bath and body stuff. I think I will plan on getting her a mani/pedi when we are there. I still want to get her a few other things, so keep the ideas coming!

I bought them fake (yikes!) Tiffany starfish necklaces. *Can't afford the real ones. Anyways, you can't tell the difference, still sterling silver... I'll certainly tell them they are fake, LOL I don't know what else. I really don't have a lot of money and we are paying for the wedding ourselves, but I don't want to be cheap. I also don't want to spend a bunch of $$ on crap none of them will want. I'd like to be able to get them a spa service of their choice (manicure, pedicure, hair or makeup) the day of... but I just don't think I can afford that. And it's not really a gift that keeps on giving. I hate throwing away money on something that lasts a day...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
