I googled myself today and found yet another reason to keep personal information off the internet: Pipl - People Search.

 

Basically anyone can key in a first name, last name (mine is unique), city, state/province, country, email, username &/or phone. And ta-da, there is all is, on one page. Very handy if you're looking to steal someone's identity. This will help fill in the information.

I found an old account that I forgot I had!! I managed to sign on again and delete my account. I'm going to be doing this for a while...

Crazy! I just looked my FI & me up it only had my amazon account listed and my FI's graduation info, but still weird

I looked up myself and found nothing, and my husband and just found his linked in profile, which he wants people to find

My name is pretty unique so a few things popped up. Yikes! Thank you for this info. I also changed my BDW username slightly because my BDW account came up!

You can change it under the vbPlaza Menu on the toolbar at the top

Luckily for me my last name is not very common so I found very little info on me--except a myspace account that I have absolutely no recollection of creating..says my last login was 2007??!! However I hit the jackpot when I typed in my FI's name--it brought up his D.O.B, schools he attended and his graduation dates, names of family members, his traffic tickets dating back over 10 years!

My FI's name is very common, so I wouldn't be able to narrow it down. Come to think of it, I don't want to know. lol

Ok, so do we have to sign up for this pipl thing to remove our names from the listing? I don't have any under my married name, but there are 6 results under my maiden name that I would like removed. Not cool!
