Holy Crap, They're Done!!!! Pictures of my invitations! :)

Absolutley Lovely! I think we have the same colors! I just got finished with my STD's and I was looking for inspiration for my formal invites! I think I just found it! smile03.gif

You did a wonderful job. I know how much work those take! Half of the battle is making decisions on what paper..what color...what to write. You pulled them off beautifully. I can't wait to see the rest of your projects!

We printed them on our own. We just got the fonts off of dafont.com. That was probably the easiest part, to be honest!

I made 30, and they took me about 3 weekends... maybe 50ish hours to make. But, a lot of that time was trying to figure out measurements and how to put everything together. I also had Aaron's help, which made a big difference

What was your estimate cost (not time -- which I can see it must have taken forever). Also, are you requesting an RSVP for these? I want to send mine out early (April 2008 wedding) but not sure about asking for an RSVP so early ...

There were a lot of things that I bought that I didn't end up using. I bought fabric/batting to go around the invitations (much like Jessalyn did) and it just ended up being WAY too much work (tack on another 50 hours!), so we nixed the idea. We also bought the sand dollars/starfish, but shipping was over $100 because we live in Canada. I think we spent close to $400, but again, there were a lot of places we could have saved money, especially if you live in the US as shipping isn't killer!

Ya, they were a lot of work - but I love them. There are definately things I wouldn't do/buy if I were to ever make them again, but overall I'm happy with them. Thanks for your compliments (and thanks to everyone else), it's nice to have hard work praised!! :)

Don't worry I didn't make invites....
Haha, thanks! lol, I was talking to Aaron about that while we were making them and how some girls have said that they'd considered it as a business after they finished theirs. We both decided "hell no" on that idea! lol. He was a huge help, but I can definately tell he's relieved that he doesn't have to do them anymore.

... I'll let him think that until the next DIY project! lol

Amazing! you are incredible Courtney! I also can't wait to see what else you do!

My wedding date is a day after yours - and I just put mine in the mail last week - glad to see we are on the same timeline wink.gif

I put March 2008 as the RSVP deadline - what did you do?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
