I just got back from Cabo last night, and we took down three duffle bags full of OOT stuff: collapsible coolers, koozies, mini Pepto/Advil/Chaser, plus first aid kits, etc.

When we landed, we found a baggage guy to help us with a cart, I paid him $20USD, he handled all of our bags for us, accompanied us through customs (where you have to screen the bags again). The customs official started asking us questions b/c the lady screening could see all of the little things, and they were talking back & forth, he was asking me what was in the bags, etc and I was nervous! "Wedding stuff" wasn't an good enough answer apparently.

The guy helping us with the bags, instead just picked up our bags for us and pushed us through...so he totally saved all of our stuff! So, I would highly suggest finding a cart guy to help with the bags, and hope he's as much on a schedule as possible!

In Cabo, you clear Immigration, and then get your bags. Then you stand in line again and send every bag, including carry-ons through a scanner where they xray it all, then you take your bags through customs and push the stop light where they can search there too.

so did you just walk up to the guy and give him some money? Did you have to ask him to get your bags through or was that kind of understood by him without saying it?

Sorry for all the questions! I do have some receipts, so hopefully that will help too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
