Sorry for all the questions! I do have some receipts, so hopefully that will help too!
No, it's just like an airport in the US, there are always people w/ carts in the baggage area wanting to help (aka getting tips for it). So you'll see a few guys walking around with huge carts, waive one down and tell him how many bags you have, slip him a tip and on you go.

The $300 is the rule. Love that you girls are paying of the baggage dudes -smart! I'm saving my receipts and will stay below the $300 pricetag since I'll be buying the OOT stuff down there. My friend offered to buy and carry down my custom koozies and we'll bring the bags and other miscellaneous. If we go over, i will give some to my mother.. i assume the receipts will be ok since we share the same last name (i hope). If not, people will not be receiving bags, just contents in some cheapy MX baggie. By the time we are all in Mexico we probably will not care... hopefully i can get a beer the minute i get out of the airport!

Also, I figured it would be hard to say it was for our wedding with no wedding dress. So...I have 2 jcrew wedding dresses in my closest that I bought for $80. I'm going to take one of those with me so customs believes I'm getting married. Plus, I can leave the dress there and use it for my TTD. Think it will work?
I am confused. One person here said the customs $300 limit is only for bringing Mexican items to the US and not bringing US items to mexico. All i know is my dress bought in the USA is way over the $300 mark and i refuse to bring receipts of that. What should I do?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
