Guest Book for signing

Recommended Posts

We want to have something different for the guest book as there will be two separate wedding receptions - Punta Cana then Canada.

For down south, we were thinking about doing a type of scrapbook with maybe pictures with different people attending the wedding. Beside each picture, we could put their name and provide a space for them to write something.

Has anyone else done this type of thing. If so, where did you go to purchase (in Canada) the 'book' and how much time (need to start somethings soon) did it take to get everything organized.

The wedding seems so far away but when I look at things that still need to be done, it seems that we are so far behind.

I really like your idea of having a scrapbook for people at your destination- you could have it on display somewhere when you have your AHR. Putting pictures in it will make it a really nice keepsake for you too. You could find something like that at Michaels or any store that has scrapbooking supplies. If you're looking for something more traditional for when you get home you could try a party supply store maybe, or even a florist/other wedding vendor- sometimes they'll have wedding supplies like guest books. Don't worry, you still have lots of time to shop around, just keep your eyes open anytime you're out shopping and you'll probably see something you like.

Good luck!

I think it's a great idea! You could make your own book online if you have digital pictures of everyone. I made one as a gift using blurb.com and it was really easy, came out great (looked professional), and was inexpensive. I think maybe $25 for a 30 page hardcover book.

The only potential downside to this would be if guest plans changed last minute and you had some people come/not come.

We are having people sign/write on swatches of fabric and we're going to make it into a throw blanket :)

Hello! We are also having two seperate receptions - one in Mexico (where we are getting married) and one in our home state (Michigan). The idea we had for a guest book is a Postcard Guest Book. We have been collecting postcards from every where we have travelled as a couple and at the receptions we will have our guests fill out one postcard each and put a message to us on there or anything they want to add to it. After both receptions are done, we will take all the postcards and have them bound into a book!

We think it will be a great memory to have sitting on our bookcase!

Good Luck!

I actually went to Michaels last night but unfortunately they do not have anything that was with a beach or summer theme. I guess I will take your suggestion and try a party store. I thought there were stores that actually specialized in scrapbooks but that may be rather expensive.

If anyone else has seen any scrapbooks with a beach theme, please let me know. Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
