hello im new to the cabo forum

Welcome to the forum! I wouldn't put a ton of weight on what people say on TripAdvisor ... take it with a grain of salt. People will only post on there when they've had a bad experience. People come back from their vacation all fired up and want to vent. When you've had a great experience, you don't often come back and post how great it was. Unfortunatly! Many of the girls on this forum have been to the Cabo resorts and will give you an honest opinion!

As for the TripAdvisor stuff...take it all with a grain of salt. I always look up the best places I've ever stayed and there are always bad reviews about them. And, I've never posted a positive review to counter those. Shame on me, but I don't think most people do.

Hi Mel,

Just welcoming you to the Forum.

I'm looking at Villas for my wedding location, so I don't think I can be of much help with the AI resorts. But according to some of the girls on here - Dreams is the place to be. According to my WC, Fiesta Americana is also great - although I'm not sure if that's an AI resort or not. Have you seen Janet's pic of Cabo Surf Hotel? Again, I don't think that's an AI - but you should probably check it out - her wedding was beautiful. I also found another hotel (just by doing some searches in Google) called Hotel Twin Dolphin. I know nothing about it, but it looks beautiful. You may want to check that one out too.

You'll get some great info here. It's also really nice to see what others have experienced first hand (and what research they can share with you.)

Best of luck with your search.

FYI, Twin Dolphin is closed for massive renovations. I think the lady told me they were going to be closed for two years?! I bet it'll be amazing when it's complete though!

Your adults only choices really are limited to Pueblo Bonito Pacifico but this is a good thing. I have photographed there for travel magazines and weddings. My wedding couples have had only fantastic things to say about their stay @ PBP. In fact I have shot weddings at other resorts only to meet the couples later because they were finishing out their wedding/vacation @ PBP. You should really check it out. First Class!

Dreams is also an excellent choice. Tammy is quite correct in saying there are very few children there. Riu on the other hand does have children.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
