Nov '11 Bermuda bride

Recommended Posts

Hello All -

I'm Melissa and I'm new to the forum. I live in NYC, engaged a month ago, and planning a November wedding in Bermuda in 2011. I've never been to Bermuda (chose Bermy because my fiance's family has always vacationed there), so certainly welcome any suggestions or ideas anyone might have! We're heading there in mid October to look at a couple of venues and perhaps meet with one or two wedding planners, so I welcome any and all suggestions!

Welcome!! We are getting married in Bermuda June 2010 and doing a "recon mission" in October as well. We will be there Oct 14-16 to check out locations, meet with Bermuda Bride, other vendors as well as taking engagement pics. Let me know if I can help w/ anything I've found out so far!

You're gonna LOVE being a part of this amazing forum!!!

My best advice as you start down the road to your wedding day would be just to take your time and do lots of research before you book or buy anything (attire, flowers, you name it!) and make sure it's all that you've envisioned for your BIG DAY!

And that's where this phenomenal site comes in: BDW has proven to be invaluable in my planning, and it's comforting to know that there are other brides and grooms out there experiencing the same highs and lows during their planning process -- a friend is always just on the other side of your computer screen!

CONGRATULATIONS and Welcome to BDW...it's a wedding-planning heaven!

    • I know it is really tough job to get everything at best cost. I would like to suggest to contact local wedding planner or decorators to get the quotes. It will take some time but by comparing different quotes you will get the best package.
    • If you want to enjoy your wedding then go for a dance floor. It is a precious moment of your life and you should enjoy it.
    • As you have said it is going to be a beach wedding so I would recommend a combination of Calla Lily and Daffodil. You can also use Calla lily or Daffodil individually. Both the flowers have different colors so it will easily attract anyone.

    • I’m a wedding planner/organizer by profession. Truth be told, I don’t have that much experience in the industry but I’m doing the best I can. We will be working on a wedding next month with a foreign couple. I’m usually the one who handles everything on behalf of the bride during the day so I need some tips and advice on how to handle brides from foreign countries. Do they need special accommodations? What are the kinds of services they are used to when under pressure? What kind of snacks should I offer them during breaks or when they’re hungry? Thanks so much in advance.
