Guest List

Recommended Posts

So i've written out a guest list of just the basics. I'm at 65. but i'm not guestimating alot of friends and extended family due to their finances.

Is it ok to assume that these people aren't coming? I hate to say it but is there anyway to avoid inviting people. My point of a vegas wedding was to keep it small.

Are you planning to have an AHR? I would say invite what you can afford..I mean we are in a recession but Vegas is not that expensive..and another thing to consider is between now & then ppl might get Christmas work bonuses, tax returns and decide to come esp with all the specials that have been advertised. I thought a lot of ppl weren't gonna come and now some are thinking they will be able to make it..

If you want it small..then do small numbers..and invite everyone else to the AHR if you plan on having one..that is what we are planning..just my 2Cents...HTH!

We have 60 on our guestlist. Our wedding package is for 40, but I'm thinking 30 at the most will come.

We are not inviting any extended family, just close friends (that we have talked to w/in the year. We don't live in our hometown, so we're not inviting people that are just on our facebook because we know them) and immediate family.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
