Cards received...fun things to do with them!?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!!

At our almost married reception we received atleast 50 cards and I can never bring myself to get rid of them. I love cards and I love everyones sentimental messages and kind words. I was wondering if anyone has found a cute/fun to keep and display all the greeting cards..in a collage or if someone has found anything off etsy or any other websites.. or DIY projects!! I look forward to hearing if you have great ideas!!

Thanks! smile29.gif

Scrapbook! You can either buy extra pages for your wedding album or start a whole new album just for the cards. You don't have to put them in there as whole cards but you can cut them up to include the main parts. If you have pictures of the guests from the reception, you could also put the main cut out parts of the cards next to the respective pictures of the people who sent them so you can easily look back and remember who the kind words were from.

With the cards from my sister's wedding my mum made a quilt - you have to be pretty into quilting as it was a mountain of work - but basically she used a colour photocopier to transfer the designs and writing to special fabric, then used left over fabric from the wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses, as well as other fabrics that fit in with the theme to made a big quilt. She was able to encorporate little bits and peices too - like the memory charm from her bouquet too.

Something different to do anyway! and the final result is absolutely beautiful!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
