Hi There,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Rhea and my fiancee's name is Curtis. We are planning on getting married this July (2010) in Cuba but are just in the beginning process of trying to find a resort. I would love to hear any suggestions or ideas and am really glad I found this forum because the whole planning process is seeming a bit overwhelming since we have only just begun!

Hi there, Congrats! We're getting married (1.20.10) @ the Breezes Bella Costa in Varadero. I can tell you that my interaction with the wedding coordinator has been a pleasure and 100% great. I haven't been yet, but what I've read (aside from the age of the resort) we're in for a treat!

Hi Rhea, congrats, I've never been to Cuba but I've heard really great things about the landscape, culture and people. Lots of resorts to choose from, check out the Cuba subforum for lots of ideas. The most popular seem to be the Iberostar and Melia chains, but there are lots of options out there. TAs with lots of experience in weddings can help you sort out what you want most out of a resort. I know it's overwhelming, but once you pick the location everything else is pretty easy in comparison. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions, I have been there!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
