Stuck in Limbo

Recommended Posts

It's called Destination Bride by Lisa Light. It is broken into 2 sections, the first is all about planning the wedding, the 2nd half (over 200pgs) is all about various destinations.

Welcome! congrats! and happy planning!

Im getting married in Turks and Caicos.. a lot of those islands and the Virgin Islands are classy, elegant, adults only, and AI. Keep searching and def. talk to FI about everything. Maybe have him really start searching and he can choose. Good Luck! Keep us posted!

Thank you, Karla, I will definitely look for that book. And future_mrs2010, thank you... I will focus my attention on the virgin islands and check out turks and caicos, again as well. Congratulations on losing all that weight (I saw from your ticker)... how did you do it? I need to lose about 60- 75 pounds as well and it hasn't been easy so far. I exercise daily but I am thinking my problem is in keeping my calories down... I probably go over about 200 cal/day or so. I'd love to hear what you did to make it successful.

I think the actual resort you get married in can be more important than which country you choose. You can have up scale resorts and cheap dirty resorts all in the same country. I made sure to focus my search on the reputation of the resort. Good luck!

welcome! Most of us here feel the pain your going through, we have all been there at one time or another. I picked Jamaica, sent my invites out. Then realized that it wasn't a place for our wedding. So we had to notify everyone of the change (how embarrising!)

I'm sure the two of you will come to an agreement soon. I personnaly like All-Inclusive for the price aspect. Your not taking your wallat out to pay for a drink or food. Just to tip or buy yourself gifts. Maybe you should point that out to the FI as this would def be helpful for the people who don't have allot of cash.

Milter Mrs had a great spot, Turks. I find it a little pricy but it has total class and there are AL and some that are not.

Good luck, try to enjoy the planning, after all it's one of the best parts of being a bride!
