Does any one have any ideas or have been to any weddings at Seawatch or Royal Lahaina? I can't seem to decide between the two. I'm excited about the food at Seawatch and the new chef, however I love the views from Royal Lahaina. ANy input would be great! Thanks.

We had our wedding ceremony at Seawatch, on the Molokini Lookout. The views were incredible. My husband and I both concluded that the pictures we had seen online of the location had not done it justice! It was truly breathtaking.

I really can't help in comparing it with Royal Lahaina though lol.

We also did not have our reception at Seawatch. We jumped over to Mulligan's on the Blue for that (which I don't believe is even a mile away) as their prices were better for our budget. One thing's for sure for anyone who considers Mulligan's, do not consider their lower prices in terms of what quality you may get compared to the other restaurants in the area who charge much more. The food was incredible. High quality and delicious!

Good luck in your decision! Anything you decide is sure to be beautiful. Maui was amazing!!

April,

I currently have my wedding and reception reserved at the SeaWatch with the afterparty taking place at Mulligan's. If Mulligan's is really that much cheaper I may switch my reception there. Was your reception inside our outside and was it private?

Thanks!

Hey!

Our reception was outside on their ocean facing lanai. Based on the setting, it felt very private although we didn't do a buyout. We followed the meal with a DJ and dance inside. I actually only recall seeing other restaurant guests as we arrived and walked between tables to our parties section. They do tell you, if you have a dance without a buyout, other guests aren't restricted from dancing if they wish but we had nobody join us! We all had a great time here and were thankful we went this route. Mulligan's really doesn't restrict music options, which is nice, and they did a great job of providing everything we needed!!!

Let me know if you'd like to know more!

I know this is a really old post, if you could tell me about your reception at mulligans that would be great! I'm going to have 60-70 people, was there the ability to say a few toasts/speeches? Were you and your husband able to have a first dance?

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
