Bride & Groom Only!

Recommended Posts

It's just going to be me, him, and our 15 year old daughter. We are all about stress free! I was never the girl to dream about a big formal wedding and this suits us perfectly! He's divorced and I think she might have been a bridezilla so he REALLY wanted to keep it low key!

Its going to be the two of us and then his brother and his fiance. They are getting married while they are there too. They are low key like us and wanted a no stress wedding as well. We actually had talked about doing this before he and I were even engaged. First wedding for all of us but we have had a ton of friends get married in the last year or so and every single one of them said if they had it to do over again they would elope or do a small destination wedding. :-)

Our friends got married a few years back and it was them plus her morther/stepfather and brother with wife.  We couldn't go because of finanaces... and she said she loved it.  We're not having many people either, I stopped stressing over who will and will not come.  We know our parents are coming and siblings (well - my siblings anyway). We have only witnesses - no bridesmaids entourage... this makes things easier. If my MOH doesn't book, I can always ask someone else......

My fiance and I are going to have a wedding with just the two of us...  I say go with whatever resort you two really like, and most resorts have a complimentary wedding package when booking a certain room category.  I'd say go with that because it'll usually just be the necessities anyway and you can add what you want.  Good luck and congrats!

  • 1 year later...

How about a cruise, that is what we opted for, to avoid some family logistics and it combines the honeymoon also. We can have guests if we want or they will arrange witnesses, they can arrange bride, bridesmaid flowers and buttonholes, a cake, you can choose your own music, choose from a list of worded vows.  They can arrange food canapes and wedding breakfast etc.  everything you want........with just the two of you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
