I got my STDs at Party Basics, Custom Printed Products at the LOWEST prices! Quick Delivery!. They were only about $150 including shipping for 125. They came with the magnet, magnet holder and envelope. They have a lot of cute ones. I got the one with the bride and groom flip flops. My guests say they really love them!

Ours cost about 30.00 bucks total for 50 over sized postcards from vistaprint. They are really simple and I dont even really love them but I just didnt want to spend money on STD's or invitations (those will probably be pretty simple also)

We then smudged his picture to make it look like a watercolour, it was really pretty when we were done. Across it we put "My mommy and daddy are getting married!" and then all of the info was on the back of the picture. We worded the invite with the children's names asking everyone to join them in celebrating their parents marriage. I printed them on shiny cardstock paper. The total project was about $5.00. I love them and so did everyone else. We printed in the bottom corner art by Liam, age 4, so everyone would know that it was Liam's creation. Liam was so proud and I now have a beautiful keepsake that our son made. These invites were very appropriate for Everton and I considering this wedding is a family affair.

I think you can spend lot's of money on invites but there are ton's of idea's out there that really don't have to cost much at all.

Kelly, these sound so adorable, what a great way to get him involved!

Hello everyone,

I ordered my STD's from vistaprint and only paid shipping and handling for the post cards. We uploaded our pictures front and back. We were kinda nervous but we were like if they don't come out right then no money wasted because they were free. They came out absolutely beautiful. We have gotten so many compliments. I also ordered "Will you be bridesmaid cards" (free for 10) and "Will you be my groomsmen cards" (free for 10). Everything came out wonderful all of this I just paid shipping and handling. What a wonderful website. You will not regret it!!!!!!!

I ordered our STD magnets from Magnet Street Save The Date Magnets - Paradise Found and we got 150 for just under $200. That is Canadian though, they were cheaper in US funds and the delivery was cheaper. So, it probably would have been about $150 US. I love them, they were perfect and everyone loves them. So, I think we did good on those. I have not done formal invites yet, still waiting for final numbers.

We ordered 75 STD magnets for $65 plus s&h at Save the Date Magnets for Weddings and special occasions!* We have photo wedding magnets too! They looked similar to this:

Between STD's & invites we sent reminder postcards with pics of PV on the front and our info on the back. They were easy to design and we got 100 for $30 at:

Business Cards & More at PrintsMadeEasy.com

Our invitations were made by White Aisle and came to $4-5 each. This is similar but the floral design was all orange, text was chocolate, and we changed the size to 6x8.

  • 3 years later...

I would like to punch whomever started this save the date stuff!!!!!  Weddings are expensive enough without another thing to pay to have printed and mailed.  John's has several older family members that don't do email, so we spent the bucks.  Now it is time get the real invitations done.  Has anyone looked at these custom invitations?  Even though most people throw them away, I still want something nice.  Let me know what you think.  Thanks.  Jane

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
