As an update, I have found another planner and I am very satisfied so far. Instead of just responding to email, my new planner actually picked up the phone to call me and we have already had several conversations about my wedding. I actually like her ideas. She is not only arranging a ceremony on the beach along with the reception but we will also have a mini island tour for my group. I think I can breath easy now.

 

For the record, I don't know if it was just timing or me being impatient for things not working out with the other planner. I am in no way trying to speak badly about any one.

Shake may I ask if you are now working with. I know my WC is already doing 2 wedding on my day. I'm wondering if she added a 3rd.

 

Also just to chime in on the "Weddings the Island Way issue". I looked at what Scubadiva noted and it does show that Shake says she's working with Angela. Guess there's another Angela that's a WC in St Thomas lol.... I'm sure Scubadiva wasn't trying to create a problem. But in the future if we don't want things that we say to be quoted or remembered in a forum... we probably shouldn't say them....

Again I stated please correct me if I am wrong. The way she put it really sounded like she was using them as a WC. I am glad I am wrong because I have had nothing but great communication from them!

I'm sorry if I caused confusion. I didn't realize that there was an Angela at Weddings the Island Way. Repeat, I did not originally contract with Weddings the Island Way.

 

Ashley, my new planner is Leslie Dawson at Perfect Weddings of St. Thomas. So far she has been beyond great!!!! Let's hope this remain that way. If they don't then I am afraid that I will have to classify myself as a bridezilla which I'm trying to avoid with every fiber of my being...lol.

See that is why I was confused. Im glad you found someone :) I have never had anything bad to say about Weddings the Island Way except for a hiccup that we will get through!

Again I appoligize to you and to WTIW. There is nothing bad about them they are a great WC on the Island also!

Great Shake no offense to you but I was gonna be pissed if my wc took on another wedding on my day. I'm like darn isn't 2 enuf lol. But hey there wouldn't be anything I could do about it. I would have def made the transition into bridezillahood lol. Congrats I hope everything works out. Where's your wedding location, maybe we can get a pic together or something. There are like 3 St Thomas brides on my cruise so we all plan to take a pic together once we get back on the ship.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
