I went to a New Years Eve wedding last year here in Toronto and it was a blast to be with family and friends at that time to celebrate a wedding and New Years together. Having sunshine and sand to add to that will be truely the best. Good Luck and Best Wishes.....

Hello Kena, congrats on your engagment and welcome to the forum. The great thing about this forum is that we have brides that have choose just about any of the popular locations for their destination wedding. I'd grab some coffee, and just start searching the forum with locations and resort names and I'am sure you'll find a ton of information. If all else fails, you can always contact one of the travel agents on the forum, maybe they can help you plan your wedding that will fit you and your guests budget. Happy planning

Welcome. You will love this forum. There is a ton of information on just about anything here. I am sure you will be able to narrow down your choices here. The people on theis forum love to share information and ideas. They have definately made a difference in my planning. Good luck. Oh FYI I think St. Lucia also has a volcano that you can walk / drive thru. Very unique. I would have gone there in a flash, but FI wanted Cuba.

Hello and welcome!

I'm sure you'll find a place that meets both of your expectations. Start checking through the location threads, most of them have specific resort posts with pictures, reviews and vendor information.

Congratulations and happy planning!

You're gonna LOVE being a part of this amazing forum!!!

And if you're really into St. Lucia, perhaps you should look into Sandals Grande St. Lucian, or perhaps their Regency resort nearby! The Grande St. Lucian was where I first had my heart set on being married before switching to SGOR (some of my family members weren't sure if St. Lucia was going to work for everyone's wallet, so we figured out another equally-amazing alternative in Jamaica)!

My best advice as you start down the road to your wedding day would be just to take your time and do lots of research before you book or buy anything (attire, flowers, you name it!) and make sure it's all that you've envisioned for your BIG DAY!

And that's where this phenomenal site comes in: BDW has proven to be invaluable in my planning, and it's comforting to know that there are other brides and grooms out there experiencing the same highs and lows during their planning process...a friend is always just on the other side of your computer screen!

CONGRATULATIONS and Welcome to BDW...it's a wedding-planning heaven!

Hi

Congrats and welcome to the forum. We chose the Grand Palladium - Lady Hamilton resort, it has great snorkeling, three beaches and 13 bars and five pools, one has a swim up bar. It is in Jamaica. Can't help you with anything from Mexico, sorry we did not even consider Mexico as we had both been there before.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
