I have been a lurker on this board for a while. I used this site to help with planning. I tried to post this under Jamaican but it did not post for some reason. I had my ceremony at Couple Negril and I used a phenomenal photographer Diana campbell at www. digitalmemoriescollections.com

Our ceremony: We were scheduled to meet with Giselle two days before and she was very efficient. I upgraded my flowers and gave her the items I brought along (sand, vases, cake topper and cd). She informed me that she would be off on the day of the ceremony. However, she assured me that she would have all of the details in order and two other people would be working with me. She was very nice and kept me informed throughout the process. She scheduled me a hair and make-up appointment for 9:00 am. She did that while I waited in her office

On the day of the ceremony, I went to the salon. The stylist did my hair exactly as I requested. I also had my make-up done. I did not really like the foundation on me it did not match my skin tone to me. My stylist tried to correct it but I was running late ( still had to get ready). Overall I was pleased with the results.

At 10:45 the ladies came to pick us up. I was given my bouquet which I loved. They walked me through when to walk down the aisle, where to place the bouquet, and told me to smile. I thought the ceremony was beautiful.

After the vows, we did the sand ceremony immediately. The minister reads a statement

(Giselle has a copy of it in her office). We had cake (vanilla). The cake was good. We did the champagne toast and the dance.

Photographer- We had Diana Campbell at

www.digitalmemoriescollections.com. I think she did a great job. Diana and her son, Richard are such great people. I hope that many other brides will consider using her. She does excellent work, she's professional, and she goes out of her way to help you if she can. Everything is "no problem". She was able to get my photos and video back to me in less than 48 hours. She took over 300 pictures. On two cd's and she gave me two copies of my video. She even took us offsite to take photos at the cliffs (that was so breathtaking and a little old lady serenaded us while we took photos.) If there is a pose or a request she will go out of her way to accommodate. I just love her and I wish her so much success.

sounds a bit silly saying welcome!! but congrats on your ceremony and thank you for posting the info - it will prove invaluble to people on here.

You may be able to post it in the Jamaican section now (you have to have posted something in this newbie thread before you are allowed to post anywhere else). They would all find it really useful and may not see this post!

Congrats once again.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
