One week or two??

We're getting married at the Iberostar Varadoro the end of April 2010 and are debating on whether we should stay the one week or two. We were really hoping to stay 10 days so that we would have a couple of extra days to ourselves but unfortunatly, the only options are 7 days or 14 days. I fear if we stay we'll be ready to come home before the 2 weeks is up but if we don't stay, than we will be wishing we did! Any other brides out there stay for 2 weeks?? Thoughts? Recommendations?

We are staying for 2 weeks for sure! We only plan on doing this once and are going to make the best of it!! We however are upgrading to a different resort, as you said sometimes you get kinda sick of the area you are in, not to mention the food at the resort. A change of resort should mix things up a little, and we are upgrading to something that we wouldn't normally go to, it makes it a bit special for our honeymoon!

We're only doing 1 week but I would've loved to do 2 weeks! We both started new jobs recently so won't have that much vacation in Nov, plus we want to go skiing in Feb/Mar. Work gets in the way of all the fun stuff! I say go for 2 weeks, who would get bored of relaxing in the sun?? Not me! :)

We're also doing 2 weeks and upgrading to a nicer adults only resort the second week. A friend of mine had a destination wedding last year and only stayed 1 week, and she always felt that that was her biggest regret. She was so busy on the days leading up to the wedding and spending time with her guests that she and her husband never really got to relax.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
