Why do men hate photography & women love it?

I bribed my husband by telling him I won't want any expensive jewelry for any anniversary. I just want him to take pictures with me. For now it's just us, but later it will be our family pictures. He knows how much it means to me, so he deals with it. He was such a great sport about our wedding photos.

I think it's totally worth it. It's great practice for the wedding day. You can also use the epics to make a cute guestbook.

Worth it? They are free! You have nothing to lose! Especially since you have the same photog for your wedding day! You'll get used her photographing, and you'll have nice pro pics.

Tell him to suck it up and thats what he gets for proposing... its part of the marriage process, ha!

I had the same problem with my boy, but in the end he had a great time and loved the pictures. They're great to use for your save the date and/or guest book. They give you a practice session at taking pics together, and they also give you a feeling for the photographer...generally its still early enough at e-shoot time to find another photog if you didn't like them from the e-shoot, but if you find out wedding day it could ruin something very important to you.

I think so. BUT we didn't pay for ours. I found a photographer on craigslist who was looking to add to her portfolio and get pictures for her website. She did them for free and gave us 10 prints of our choosing. It's only been a year but so much has changed in our lives and I love looking back to see where we were at that step!

I think they are absolutely worth it. We have nothing to put up on the website either, but I found something for now. We're getting them done by our photographer down in Mexico in January. It'll allow us to work out the kinks like other brides have said, and get comfortable with our photographer. They were extra for us, but totally worth it to me! I had to bribe my FI a bit too, but it worked out in the end!

Go for it for sure! I agree - our session really allowed us to get comfy with our photographer and get relaxed, and it allowed our photograher to get to know us, and how to make us look good. So if they're free - I would totally take advantage. I wasn't going to do them, and then they were part of our package and I'm sooo happy we did. The pics turned out amazing, and I love them! Even the fiance who was against it now agrees it was a good idea.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
