Renting a Tent?

I was wondering if anyone was going to rent a tent for their reception?

I started to look into the cost of renting one and the quote was over $3,000 for a 80- 100 person tent!!!

I don't know too much about the going rates, but that seems sooooo expensive. Is this normal?

I don't know about PV, but those rates are pretty much what you would expect to see here in the US.

Wow! That does seem really expensive. Where were you planning to set it up? Maybe there are some other, less expensive options. Are you just planning in case of rain?

Allyson - I don't think that price is correct (although I could be wrong) - the tents we rented for Britt's wedding were $870 - that fit easily 35 people a lounge area and a small band with a small dance floor with a smaller tent for the bar.
