Post your wedding shoes

Recommended Posts

I love it - I too was thinking of going barefoot for the ceremony, but putting on some comfy flats for the ceremony. This is a great idea. Someone mentioned the sand being too hot in July - my wedding date is June, I hadn't thought about that, I guess I could always wear the flats for the ceremony too if I needed to.

Very cool- thanks for sharing. FI was sitting next to me when I opened the website and he said "oooh, I like those!". Guess I gotta add that to the list of stuff to buy...

Here are my shoes to wear after the ceremony...once I am the MRS.!!! I didn't plan on wearing fancy shoes since...1. I want to be comfortable 2. both my ceremony and cocktail reception both are on the sand 3. I will be dancing all night!

I probably should wear heels for pictures since I am 5ft tall and Matt is 6'5....but I went for comfort.

I just picked up my dress this weekend and found that it is the perfect length WITHOUT SHOES! This is what I have found on www.FamousFootwear.com They have free shipping and free in-store returns, so you're really not out much.

All of these have less than a 1 3/4 inch heel. I thought you might be interested as well. Enjoy!

So for all of you that got married ON the beach (actually in the sand) did you wear shoes? If so, were they a pain in the butt?

I was thinking of going barefoot for the ceremony, then putting on shoes for the reception. But then I wonder what I do about alterations for my dress. Do I get it altered for the barefoot height, then get shoes with little to no heel? Any advice, ladies?

Even if you stand in shoes on the sand, the hem of your dress won't look perfect -- it's just the way sand is. So I'd say just get your dress altered for shoes/floor and it's okay if the dress is a little long for the sand.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
