OK this is not an item that I have shopped for since I haven't even started at looking at dresses yet! For those of you who got married on the beach or even took pictures on the sand - How did that work with your shoes? Did the sand drive you nutts in your shoes or was it not an issue? I would like to go barefoot but I am afraid the sand will be too hot at 7pm in July. I have also been wondering how it works on the sand if you have a train on your dress. These are strange questions but I would hate to walk down the aisle and have to stop adjust my shoes or get all the sand off my train! Let me know!

I thought a lot about this.

I have to wear shoes as I am allergic to bees and I am walking down a cement path that is surrounded by flowers. However, as soon as I reach the beach, I am going to kick off my shoes (it was a requirement that I could get them off easily without bending down) and walk on the sand. I will pick up my shoes after we're done taking photos.

As for the dress, I'm not worrying about the sand. I'm wearing it once - no worries if the bottom gets dirty. The sand in Cabo is fairly rocky and compact (when they groom it). Sarah, you should be fine at 7PM. I have baby feet and I remember walking on the sand in the early evening and it was fine. It will be warm all around in July. If it were earliery in the day, I'd recommend some nice flat sandals for the ceremony on the sand. No heel, though.

My wedding shoes are not at exciting and sexy like the rest of yours but here are 2 that I am considering....I have weird feet they are long and super skinny so I can't wear strappy sandels or anything where my foot will slide right through....so I always have to look for something either closed toes or partially closed. I found these 2 from J.Crew, my dress is made from silk and is more traitional than beachy just to give you an idea

these ones I have a very similar pair from S. Weitzman and they are so comfy

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
