I'm going with a beachy style but just because it's beach doesn't mean it isn't fitted and won't make me stand out! There are some super light weight dresses out there that are perfect for a DW but that won't be super heavy and hot.

My thinking is that I'll already have some nerves on the day so better to go with something flowy. Although in my search I decided that a corset tie up back was a must! I started trying dresses that were zipper backs but once I tried a corset a never wanted to go back!

My dress is

"You don't find your dress, you're dress find you. It's your job to get out there and try on so many so it finds you!"

Ok I'm have a completely non-traditional wedding dress. My dress is a modern/vintage art deco style.

It's silk but it's lined and it's light and comfortable which you'd never guess by looking at it.

I originally wanted a beachy chiffon dress and they just looked terrible on me.

I am going with a traditional wedding dress by Maggie Sottero. I did; however, pick one with a very short train because I didnt want to be draging sand behind me. I also picked one that is rapshody taffeta instead of the silk one i also liked b/c the taffeta is not too heavy and hot.

Maggie Sottero has a lot of really nice dresses! Bahia, your dress is georgious too! I do believe that was one of the ones that I tried on and also liked very much. Ahhh, such a hard decision.

This is another nice one that I was considering. I think it looks better in person though. The model's pose makes it seem like it is a nightgown! But it is just really really pretty!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
