I also went the more traditional route, sadly the beachy dresses just weren't suiting me. I absolutely love my dress, it's me in everyway, and was in my budget. Hopefully I survive the heat, and they allow it to come with me on the plane as it's kinda large. We're going to the airport early, so I can pour on the charm. :)

I also went the traditional route. I chose a Pronovias as well, I love their dresses!

Hi! So, the dress is satin with a lace overlay. I don't know how breathable it'll be, but it is really light weight. There's no tulle/crinoline underneath so it's not scratchy. It's really pretty comfy & has a short train and I'm thinking of removing the satin in the train so it'll just be lace. Maybe go try it on to see if you like it?

I love seeing all of your dresses, girls!! They're all so gorgeous!

I have been wondering the same thing!? One of my sisters had a DW and wore a traditional dress. One of my bridesmaids and sisters thinks it could be super hot to wear a traditional dress. I have tried some dresses that are lighter, more beachy style and to me it feels like an everyday summer dress, not as weddingish...for those who have got married in a traditional dress is it ridiculously hot?

My dress is traditional as well, but its not as extravagant as I would have had it if my wedding were at home! Some embellishments on the bust and the empire waist style, but pretty straight otherwise! It's not very heavy, but it LOOKS heavier than what it is! :) When I find a picture I will post it in the forum "show your wedding dress!"

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
