I have just returned from my wedding in Negril, April 1, 2010 and used Ari and now call her Ari-The-Awesome! Ladies, take my word for it - no one can match her skills. I had previously booked at The Caves and despite 2 trips there to meet their on-site wedding planner and multiple emails and calls at my expense we got no where, after more than 9 months - we cancelled! Started all over again at a new location - Villas Sur Mer and with Ari. I have so much respect for this woman. All other planners can only dream of reaching her ability. First and foremost - communication. It's key and she's amazing. Sometimes up to 10 emails a day and called me at her cost when she felt the need. She took on our wedding with short notice and organized the location; minister and license; caterers; bartender, amazing photographer - Misha Earle and DJ - Gemini and a live broadcast for our family back home to watch our wedding live! She helped with the florist; makeup; custom linens; decor beyond what I brought down, etc. etc. She drove me around when I arrived, attended the rehearsal, co-ordinated the entire set up the day of and even dealt with a sudden downpour minutes before 42 guests arrived. Kept me calm, kept us on track, made all look spectacular and was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I have more to say than allowed in this space but I assure you it will be the best decision you've made after deciding to get married! I have extensive event planning background and assure you that this woman knows her stuff, handles all the behind the scenes details that will make or break your event. My rating is based on North American standards not just Jamaican. I put alot of time and effort and research into my planning and could not have pulled off this amazing wedding without her keen eye and attention to everything. She'll be 10 steps ahead of you and will truly take on your day like her life depended on it. Her rates are very reasonable and easily budgeted. My family and friends all say they don't want to bother going to another wedding as ours was so different and fun - how's that for accolades and Ari earned them. I wish you all the best but promise you'll have it if you use her

services.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
