Hey my AHR is the day after Halloween night! I hope everyone will be ok to come, and probably quite a few kids will still be burning off a sugar high!

For our favors I got wedding bubbles from AC Moore and affixed a sticker with our name and date on front (shaped like a starfish) and tied a raffetta bow around the top. They are cute and not too cheesy, we are having over 100 guests so I didn't want to spend a lot on favors.

I also got cute little favor boxes with a beach theme, that we are going to put a few chocolate seashells in for each person.

Oh and matchbooks and mini maracas for the kids.

Did I say I didn't want to spend a lot? Oh well. It's already done.

We ordered shot glasses for the actual DW so we could do a tequila toast as opposed to champagne. I ordered extra for the AHR. I gave them to the bartender and told her to give them away but they had to take a shot in order to have one. It was so much fun!! Then I went around and gave out shot glasses to others with a full shot in them, and some with water for those I know don't drink, just so they could join in the fun.

Since we did a Fiesta themed, I went into downtown L.A. and bought a bunch of Mexican candy with little bags, it was a huge hit, we received a lot of compliments.

Hi there. We did a candy buffet for our almost married reception. It was a huge hit! BUt for everything bags, scoops, candy and containers cost me close to $700. You need to make sure you have enough for everyone is the huge thing! But they loved it!

For our AHR we are doing a photobooth. We hired this amazing company and they have tons of props and frames. Totally awesome. AND when they print they print 8 pictures. 4 each side by side.. 4 for the person/couple to take home and a set of 4 to go in our guestbook and then they sign it. So its the best of both worlds!

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
