For those ladies having casual BBQ's for your AHR, an option for favors would be personalized koozies. My fiance and I are thinking about doing that... (we aren't doing a BBQ, but we are certainly having more of a bar party than a reception)

Economy Collapsible Koozies | Custom Printed Koozies with Logo

Prices look to be $95 for 50 koozies or $114 for 100 (can you tell they want you to buy in bulk?)

Hi ladies, what do you think of the idea of having a picture for your favour? I thought it seemed kinda bland, but then I thought, I could tie a ribbon around each one, and glue a seashell or starfish on the ribbon. We were thinking of choosing a few of our favourite wedding pics and getting them printed and doing that. That way for couples, if each person gets a pic they would get two different ones - not duplicates. What do you think?

Hey Krista!

I think that is an awesome idea you could even jazz it up by getting some plane frames at the dollar store and gluing the seashells and ribbon to the frame.  This way if people want to change their picture they can use the frame for a picture from one of their vacations whether they were at your wedding or not.  This is what i may do for my BBQ AHR favor....what do you think?

OLD BAY!!  WHAT A CUTE IDEA, AMY!!!

So fitting for a Maryland reception....and it's a small world after all!  That's actually where my AHR is next weekend (in Pasadena, on the Chesapeake, 8/14/10)!  Your guests are going to just love 'em!  ;)

I hope your AHR exceeds your expectations -- hope to hear all about it!

Thanks Christie!  I don't have many pictures from my AHR - I put down my camera and forgot to pick it back up until the end of the party.

I love your venue - I remember your post when you found it.  Have a great time!!!

One thing I did, was put out a picture album for people to leaf through with pictures from Mexico - not just the wedding but the whole week of events - everyone liked looking at them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
