    Hey everyone,

I am wondering if it's normal to pay such a high deposit of $300 per person to our TA?! We have to initially book 10 or more. So right off the bat it is $3000 for deposits. If it turns out that only 9 can go we will loose $300. Keeping that in mind we have around 60 invitation we will be sending out.

I am so confused as to what to do. I anyone at all has and suggestions or advise it would be wonderful.

    Thanks Ashley

That sounds normal. I'm assuming you're booking a package so you are probably paying between $100 and $200 per person each for the hotel and $100-$200 per person for the airfare.

When you break it out, it sounds better. If you have questions as to what the money is going for, ask your TA.

If you are worried about no-shows, start with your definites, family, BP, etc and see where you are. I mean you and your FI are 2, so you only need 8 more guests.

Mine was $200 pp. It probably depends on the hotel/package/flight/whatever.

Mine is $150 a person as well. Keep in mind if it's 10 rooms booked or 10 people. Mine is 10 rooms in order to get the group rates.

We went after my family, his family, a bridesmaid and definites for our initial 10 rooms booked. But because we got that, they locked in the rate for everyone else’s cheaper rates.

I would stress to your family/friends if you don't get your 10 the prices will go up!!!!

Ours was 150/pp also. 300 does seem high but I guess it depends on the package.

Mine was $200/ person. It depends on the total cost of the trip, and it also varies by agency I think. I think a 10-15% deposit is normal...

Ours was $200/person. $300 doesnt seem that far gone. But as mentioned before - ask your TA about it.
