Hey Emme,

First off YAY Red Deer, AB!!! Finally found someone on this forum from here!

I am going through the same thing with my FI. Details and organization are so not important to men! I just tell him the important stuff and tell him to leave all the little things to me - capiche wink.gif

It's good you are able to see beyond the silly fighting and remember that he's your man, you love him and it's not a big deal! At the end of the day your wedding will be amazing and both of you will be super happy for all the hard work you've put in!

For the most part, I find that guys aren't really interested/excited about the wedding until it's a couple months away. Then they're all excited to do stuff, but by that point, we're fried and have our own routine set. Try not to squash their excitement (even though it can be frustrating sometimes).

Last Sunday we were shopping for necklaces for my bridesmaids. (well we just stopped into a store and they had some great stuff we weren't really SHOPPING) I found two that I liked and I'm very indecisive. I asked FI "which one do you like?" Of course he said "it doesn't matter honey whichever one you want." (the problem is he says that about EVERYTHING!!! So I say back to him... "Don't you have an opinion?" There was another customer in the store who overheard the conversation she said "I have an opinion, what do you need?" LOL

We don't have fights I just end up doing it all because he is all thumbs and then some. He does sit and keep me company though. And then asks me after everything is done, If I really think all this is necessary. Of course the answer is always "Well what do you think" lol. We so love our men don't we....

These are just cracking me up. We haven't argued about anything yet, but I'm sure with as much of a perfectionist as I can be sometimes, it will happen. But this did remind me of something my roommate said(she's getting married next month).

This morning she asked her FI if she could make him a little list of things she needed to have done for the wedding. He told her that he had a busy day so he didn't think that would work. So all sweetly she says, okay honey what are your big plans for today? He then tells her that he is planning on seeing a movie with a friend. So she expectantly asks what else he has going on. And he tells her, well I just really wanted to sleep right up until the movie.

I found it funny but at the same time, I really want to know if he actually ended up doing anything. lol.

Ya looks like it's a common theme!

We fight about every single wedding related thing. So now I just never talk about it or bring it up with him and this seems to work! I don't know why I was involving him so much or asking for his opinion when I never liked his opinions and he got mad when I wouldn't do it his way.

So it's better this way! I think we can't help it. When girls get engaged a switch is flipped and we become all anal about stuff and we simply can't help it! It's nice though that he tries to help! Thumbs up for effort.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
