Hi everyone,

I am thinking of having a destination wedding. I would like to either do aruba, bahamas, or St. John, St. marteen....i wanted to find out if i have 30 people how much approx would you guys think that would cost me?

has anyone had a small wedding at an island and how much did everything run you? im trying to figure out if a wedding here would be the same price as a destination.

Thanks!!

Congrats and welcome3.gif to the forum! That's a tricky question to answer only because there are SOOO many variables that will go into your cost factor. For example, are you doing a private dinner that you have to pay per person, depending on the resort you choose they have differences in price for wedding packages, decorations, do you plan on hiring a dj, photographer, etc.

We all have a different vision of what the "perfect" wedding is, so it becomes really difficult to compare. I know that doesn't exactly help you, but hopefully it will help you narrow down your questions. Good luck!!

Welcome!!

Definitely do a sure through the forum for the answers to your quetions. TONS of people on here have done weddings in those locations and can probably help out with costs estimates. Also, try talking to a travel agent!

Happy planning!

Congrats and welcome! Start emailing some WC at the places you are looking at to inquire about their packages with prices and what their a la carte items cost. That's the best way to start figuring out what it will cost you. Also look into what the airfare will cost to each place around the time frame you plan on getting married there.

You're gonna LOVE being a part of this amazing forum!!! And you might want to contact one of the BDW TA's (travel agents) with your location-specific questions -- they are a wealth of knowledge and should be able to assist you!

BDW has proven to be invaluable in my planning, and it's comforting to know that there are other brides out there experiencing the same highs and lows during their planning process...a friend is always just on the other side of your computer screen!

CONGRATULATIONS and Welcome to BDW...it's a wedding-planning heaven!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
