BBB Registry gifts

Recommended Posts

I'm sure a lot of you ladies knew this but by registering at Bed Bath and Beyond, they have worked out deals with some of their vendors to give you free gifts. That is, just register for a certain dollar amount of certain brands to receive gifts. For instance -- I registered for $500 or more of Calphalon products, and as a result, we will be getting a santoku cutlery gift a.k.a. knife for sending in a rebate form with a copy of the registry with the Calphalon products listed on it. There are always rules and restrictions, like this one is not valid on Kitchen Essentials or Cooking with Calphalon products.

I figure even if I don't get the dream cookware I've always wanted, I'll get a free knife out of it lol.

Cuisinart also has some kind of promo going on for a free recipe cd, and something also about a free cookbook and there is another brand doing another promo but I didn't really get info on either of those since I didn't qualify. Maybe if I asked really nicely they would tell me lol...

Anyway, hope these promotions are in your area as well ladies, seems nice to get something for free with all the money we're putting into our weddings!

They also do a referral program where if you refer people that set up registries you get a $25 off $50 purchase or something like that, so keep it in mind if you have friends that are also getting married and make sure they refer you or vice versa!

Do you only have to register for the items, or they have to be purchased off your registry? I thought it was the guests purchase $500 worth of calphalon, and then they throw in the free gifts?

It doesn't say anywhere on the paperwork that $500 has to be purchased, it says registered for. Howeverrrrr it does say "One registry gift set per registrant or couple and one completeion gift set per registrant or couple" which makes me think that there may be another cheaper gift, and that the knife would be given after the purchase. The people at BBB told me it was a knife just for registering and it says "Receive your own Santoku cutlery gift by registering for $500 or more of qualifying Calphalon products"... key word register not purchasing. would be funny if they sent you something like a knife cover to register and the knife after purchases lmao..

Hi ladies!

The knife set is just for registering, but you have to send in some paperwork with a copy of your registery to prove that you did have that amount. There is a $50 gift card for purchasing $300 worth of Caphalon, so the person buying it, gets the gift card. My coworkers bought me the Caphalon and were nice enough to give me the $50 gift card as well! :) Hope this info helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
