Melissa~ I can't believe your wedding is coming up so quickly! How exciting. I've never done the shred but it sounds like a great workout and I love that its only 20 mins. Keep it up until you leave!

I for one would love to have SSNM join and start weighing in with us. The more the merrier! And I'm super excited that you were dedicated enough to do a show. That's just awesome! Looking forward to gaining some tips from you... and maybe persuading you to send/ post some inspirational pics of your show ready body. lol

SSNM Welcome what kind of shows are you in? Do you model? My little sister models. She really motivates me to lose weight, bc she's rally supportive and is the only person in my immediate family who doesn't make jokes about my weight (funny thing is she's the only skinny person im my immediate family lol).

Regarding the stair challenge while I don't have stairs at work, my house has three floors and I work from home often. So what I've been doing is running up and the stairs vs walking leisurely LOL.

Mellisa during the last BL season I was able to get the Shred on demand. I don't know if I still can. Thats a very serious workout. I couldn't complete it.

I looked for shred at walmart today but couldn't find it... perhaps because I'm in Canada? I will check when I move to the US in 9 days... hehe

I'm all for having SSNM in here, the more the merrier! I was wondering about your shows, since you mentioned that in the DPC thread too! Inspiration pics for the rest of us (like Kelly said) would be a great idea if you were up for it! :)

Welcome SSNM :)

When I found the shred at Walmart it was in a weird spot, like on the end of an isle....

Ashley: That sounds like a stair acomplishment to me :)

Today we got tons accomplished shopping. Centerpieces, FI attire, and guest book. That was about 6 hours of shopping. We got home around 9pm, and I wanted to curl up on the couch..but I popped in the 20 minute shred again. Go me :)

Excellent stuff Sgt. Pepperette! Way to get that workout in there! I am ALL about the late night workouts after a day of procrastinating!

Sorry for the delayed responses. Normally I am on here like a crack addict but I have been afk all day. FI took me out to a murder mystery dinner as a surprise date which was nice...ofcourse it meant I took liberties on food again. That is my absolute biggest weakness and one that I intend to manage by the end of this season!

As for my shows, I did a fitness figure competition 2 and 3 weeks ago and placed second in both. The girls who beat me out for first place basically was a little bit more lean than I was, which of course comes to the DIETsmile35.gif. Anyway I placed enough to do finals in April 2010 so I have time to get a good handle on my preparation.

Definately, I would love to give tips and support. My regime is a bit intense but I have always wanted to make fitness and health a large part of how I identify myself as a person, so I am thrilled to finally be 'living the life'. I am really passionate about it and I think seeing this group forming on this website really made me all the more determined to commit to it. Thanks for taking me on and I look forward to us spurring each other on to healthier lives! grouphug.gifthewave.gif

Okay so here is my weekend workout update:

Saturday: legs, calves, and cardio at the gym. I also taught an aquafit class.

Sunday: shoulders/triceps and cardio at the gym

Diet was unfortunately subpar. Too few meals spread too far apart and too calorie dense. I recently bought a cake to eat with my meals which I would be okay with if the meals were not so scattered. Tonight I will inventory my kitchen and see what I have that I can work with to have more balanced meals for the week.

Thanks Ash msnwink.gif It feels good to be doing a little something everyday!

SSNM....so intriguing about your competition. Glad to have you around, and cant wait to hear more from you! Congrats on 2nd, that is awesome!

How did you girls do over the weekend? My eating wasnt so great, but not horrible, and I did work out all 3 days.

Heres a simple challenge for Monday. Leave a little bit on your plate at each meal. We are always trying to clean our whole plate when sometimes our portion sizes may be to big. Although if you are making your own meals, maybe this defeats the whole purpose.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
