Hello fellow brides to be! My name is Amy and this is my first post on this forum. I am hoping you can help because I am going CRAZY!! I am in the midst of planning a destination wedding for April of 2008 and have narrowed it down to Punta Cana and Riveria Maya - BUT I am shooting towards Riveria Maya. Any suggestions of great AI resort in Riveria Maya for approx. 30+ people with kids. I would like something reasonable for my guests with easy access to places. Most of the people with us are in their 30s and enjoy the nightlife. I was also thinking of having a catholic ceremony in the Xcaret Park chapel - it looks beautiful.

Welcome! I'm VERY close to Milwaukee!!

 

What about the Occidental Grand Xcaret? I hear it's beautiful, plus then you'll be really close to the chapel at Xcaret. And your guests can go to the Xcaret park for free :)

Thanks TIseege (fellow cheesehead) for the info. I have looked into the Occidental and it is an option. The only thing is that the beach is very small (its a lagoon) and I guess its far from everything. I'm getting a lot of my info. from trip advisor.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
