My wedding was at 2pm with the reception at 630pm. It worked out great and there was not a lot of time for us. By the time we were done with the ceremony, the "formal" pics with the family and bridal party, and pictures of just my DH and me, we had about 45 minutes to unwind and refresh back at the room. The guests were fine with the break. They went back to thier rooms, hung out at the pool/bar, and just relaxed. A few caught up with us and hung out while we were getting pictures taken. I though the 2pm slot worked out fine.

We are booked for April 30th at 4pm! I keep hearing that you don't start talking to the coordinator until like a month before your wedding but what about booking things? Should this be done before that? We want to have drinks/dancing on the beach after dinner and we want the steel drum band for the ceremony. I am just worried about waiting until the last minute to book these things?

you can email the WC before a month before the wedding. We had emailed her a few months prior to the wedding asking questions and booked everything before we were down there....but when we got down there we met with her and it was pretty much like we were speaking for the first time....you could in actuality book everything when you arrive and it would prob be fine. If you do email her and book anything i would def print out the emails and bring it down there just to be safe

yes you could but we didn't run into any problems and there were 2 other weddings the same day as ours.

I know they only do 1 beach reception a day and up to 3 weddings a day so for anyone who really wants the private beach reception def book it ahead of time

For sure! I need help! I am signed up for the free wedding.. And I read somewhere you can have up to 30 guests with that, even though it says ten plus us.. I am in real need of finding this out.. bc if not we will have to upgrade to the royal.. Which we are coinsidering already but that is an extra expense we didnt have figured in, but as we go along.. theres alot more ppl who are coming then first thought. lol.

So IF anyone can tell me anything more about the free package..

Eeek!!!

i am in the same boat on this as i want to be able to confirm most of the queries before we get there
i have heard from previous RMB brides that everything would be sorted and i shouldnt worry but i still do

anyway i will see you there we are there from 20th april till 4th may and get married on 23rd april at 2pm

i thought the gap between the ceremony and dinner was too long but then realised that i would have photos etc to do so it will probably fly by x

happy planning and keep in touch

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
