OMG, Jennifer -- I HAD THE SAME THING happen to me!!!

When I was looking at the Sandal website and some of the reviews past brides had posted there, there were close to half a dozen that were wearing this very simple a-line dress from David's Bridal that I had already purchased and I was definitely buggin' out about it! I ultimately ended up keeping that dress to wear for my AHR, and got another more elaborate "pouffy" dress for the ceremony because I couldn't let go of this whole "I wanna look/feel like a princess, damn it!" thing regardless of the fact that we're getting married in Jamaica, but I SO COMPLETELY know what you were feeling! Your dress will be a one-of-a-kind because you're the one-of-a-kind bride that will be wearing it!

Glad to hear that you kept YOUR dress; the others are right in saying that the girl in the review won't be at your wedding, and if it's the dress you searched long and hard for (and fell in love with), then you should put her out of your mind, and ROCK the dress you adore on your special day! wink.gif

Are you talking about that GORGEOUS Nicole Miller dress you havehuh.gif!!

Keep it girl...you're gonna look smokin' in it and I highly doubt anyone but you (and maybe the WC :-)) will know someone else at your resort wore the same dress... Plus, as the others said, you'll make it your own:-)

i say keep the dress. unless you bought it thinking it was a one of a kind original. it would be silly to not keep it just because someone else wore it at a different time. if that was the case we would all be buying a new dress!

although i have to admit, one of the dresses i really liked and almost bought i didn't because i saw 4 people on here post it.

I think you should keep your dress. There are going to be hundreds of people out there that are going to have them same dress as all of us on here. Unless you get it custom made you arent going to win here. I think you shouldnt worry about what other people have, if you love it...then that is THE DRESS for you!

We all like to think that our wedding is one of a kind and because we make choices based on our personal tastes and personality that no one could possibly make the same choices...sadly the wedding industry is based on the fact that this isn't true! I know what you mean though, I keep changing my mind on songs and invitations simply because someone else (or several people) have already done it!

Bottom line...KEEP YOUR DRESS!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
