        At what point is the sand ceremony done? After rings but before wedding blessing and pronouncement?

          I think you would do it the same as when you light your unity candle, after your vows making "two" lives "one"

            We did the hand blessing and sand ceremony. Ours was very simple and symbolic though, we used natural sand from the beach our wedding was on and goblets:

              We used shells I bought THE DAY OF THE WEDDING!!!! Found them at a store across the street, I did have a back-up plan! My MOH bought the vase at Wal-Mart there! I didn't want to haul glass, so we left the vase. I'm on the hunt for something with a lid- similar to the cork ones already posted. Here's the pic:Click the image to open in full size.
