Group Excursions in Riviera Maya - Any ideas??

Recommended Posts

My FI is taking all his guys deep-sea fishing the day before we get married (this is what he wanted to do instead of having a typical bachelor party) and all the ladies and I are going to Xcaret. We're also considering doing a day trip to Tulum or snorking for a day. Make it fun and creative and everyone is guaranteed to have a good time!

When I was down this summer with my wife for a ten year anniversary we took a day trip to the then new Xplore, which is part of Xcrate (separate parks). The zip-lines were amazing! There are 4 adventures for you to do, zip amphibious vehicle, rafting through a cave and swimming through a cave. The admission was well worth it, $99 usd. That included a very nice buffet.

Of course a trip to the ruins is nice too.

There are some great ideas here...not enough time to read all of them. I appreciate the suggestions because I have been down there a few times doing various adventures and want to take my attendants and moms for a special day before the wedding as a "Thank you"

I have been to Hidden Worlds while at Dreams Tulum because it is literally right across the highway. We did the 2 cenote tour and it was great. Don't go if you are claustrophobic at all! It was great but I wanted to see more. We also did Tulum which was neat to see and the beach below is such a beautiful pictures for pictures! I would recommend Xcaret. The night show was awesome and the park is huge! We got to swim with dolphins. I was all excited about snorkeling in the "underground river" thinking it would be cenotes and really cool. Not so much. No fish, man-made snorkeling all the way through the park. Kinda fun I guess if you aren't worried about what all you are missing out above you. Go early so you can see everything! Hope this helps.

Hi hoty75,

I'm trying to gather as much information for deep sea fishing in Mayan Riviera area, mainly for the boyz~ Did you go through a company? or on your own? Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
