The Sheraton is a great property - the rooms are awesome, the staff is nice, and the property itself is beautiful. The pics below are the area that they always like to show, but, to be honest, if I had my wedding there, I would have chosen to have the ceremony on the beach and the reception in the restaurant right next to the water. It's beautiful there and the waves sound very beautiful and they shine lights out onto the ocean at night which is just awesome!

Tammy,

we will only have about 45 guests so i'm trying to decide if we should do a smaller hotel that wont drown us... we definitely want privacy. if you do a beach wedding, how do you wear heels?!?!? i have to have heels on!

i've never been to cabo but i have done a lot of online research- dont think we'll be able to travel there before making a decision, unfortunately. the restaurant you chose- is it oceanside/ can you see the water from it? it looks so pretty!

i want my wedding to be classic/classy and elegant- dressy attire- but not too formal! any advice?

Yes the restaurant is right in front of the water. The spot that "cabobride200" posted is located on the grounds and could work better for you since you want to wear heals. Or the Sheraton also has a church on their grounds, very pretty, so you could get married there and have your dinner at either De Cortez or Pytatyes (I'll never get the correct spelling of that place lol) Both are located right on the beach with awesome views. I picked De Cortez because IMO it had more of a "romantic" feeling to it. The other place is actually on the Sheraton property, but not owned by them, the food is awesome and the view is also amazing.

This is a picture of a ceremony on the beach in front of De Cortez.

I also have pictures at work of the other restaurant if your interested I can post those tomorrow.

Hmmm have you looked into the Hilton? They have a couple of nice spots on their grounds that might work well for you as well. And the WC there is really nice. Kash is getting married there and has alot of information on that site.

That's what I was trying to describe - it's romantic. You're right!

The food is great at the De Cortez restaurant, too. OH - and there's this cute bridge that you could walk across on your way to the ceremony - what a cute picture with your dad! I wanted to do that and I still think about it every time we stay there. Ohhh - this is making me want to take a trip to Cabo.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
