Why the D. R.??

Just curious as to why everyone picked the Dominican Republic to get married!

I picked it because it was the cheapest with good quality for my family & friends to join us! Plain & simple!

Also, Mexico requires a blood test in Mexico & DH was having no part of that!!

Mexico was out of the question because of the blood test and all the other stuff you have to do. I have already been to Jamaica without FI and he has already to the Bahamas without me. So it was between DR and St. Luica. AirFare was to much for our guest to pay to fly to St. Luica and that how we came to DR.

I chose DR because people told me they had the best all inclusive packages for our guests ..we're coming from NY and i def wanted an all inclusive so people wouldn't have to pay more then what they are already paying to come down..so I was told its the best pricewise from where we are coming from.

I was the same as KarenK...but, I'll say, I wasn't expecting the airfare to be so much! I wish Jetblue flied into Punta Cana.

beachbum- me neither at all! and they told me march is low season so we chose that only to find out its high season after we booked the date lol
