I think I made a mistake-- Wedding Dress

Recommended Posts

I think you look great in that dress - you have a great little body. Once it is hemmed you would be crazy not to wear it. I'm in Winnipeg and its impossible to find destination dresses like that. Its beachy and sexy. The back is amazing too. Once it is altered you will fall in love.

I really want something that is fitted and sexy-- like a sheath or mermaid. If I can take pics I'll show you what I come up with so I don't make the same mistake again.

Thanks once again everyone!!!
I think the dress is beautiful, though it looks as if it's weighing you down in the front. The back is absolutely amazing though.

Good look today on your new dress shopping adventure. I hope you find something you love! (If you don't see anything that makes you go wow, you already have an amazing dress that I think will be stunning once its altered a bit)

Is that a Maggie dress? I ask because I tried on one similar with the back like thathuh.gif It is very pretty but you do need to be tall for a dress like this (I think). The front embelishments are too long for your statue! You could use it as your TTD dress. Maybe if you did have on some high heels it would look not so cut off. Have you tried it on with heels?? Whatever you decide I know your FI will think you look gorgeous. Good luck

Hi,

My honest opinion is that I think that yes you look lovely, however I do agree that another dress may be an option for you. As you are 5'1, I can only imagine the problems you had finding a dress that would suit your height. Most the dresses are made for women 5'8. I think there is another dress out there for you. Something a little more form fitting and proportional to your hieght. You have a nice body - show it off!

Good luck and all the best!!!!!

Anyways, I went to pick up my dress today. It made me feel sick to my stomach. I've been worrying for months that I picked the wrong dress & I didn't know if it was b/c its so much fun to look at all of your dresses or if something is really wrong with my choice.

When I tried on the dress today I wasn't in love. Don't get me wrong-- I do love the dress but I just am thinking that its not the dress to make me look fantastic. Please take a look at the pics and let me know what you think about it's style and me. Keep in mind that I'm short (5'1")-- does the dress make me look cut off?

Thanks so much for all of your honesty and opinions in advance!

Love ya-- H

Were you wearing heels when you took the pictures? I must admit that, in the pics, it does make you look slightly "cut off", in your words! I am wearing the Reese dress myself but am def wearing heels, even though I will be in the sand! A great tip I got on this site was The Solemates and that could let you wear heels no matter what the terrain you get married on! Good luck!! PS.. I also bought a dress online which was soooo much cheaper and I though I was great and saving my parents money etc, however, when it arrived, I hated it!! Ended up costing them even more in the long run! Don't wear something if it doesn't feel right!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
