Hi,

Could someone please post a picture of the basic wedding cake that the MP provide.

Also, I am not sure whether to bring a picture and ask them to recreate it as I am not sure how good they are at making the cakes.

Any feedback would be very much appreciated.

Thanks! :)

your WC can send you all the pictures in a file, I'm getting married at Aventura palace she she had files of basic cakes and the upgraded ones including ones they recreated from pictures. I think a basic recreation would be ok but I wouldn't hold the highest expectations for something fancy. Look through the moon palace thread...I bet there is a lot of talk/pics about cakes!

Hi hun,

I'm sorry you haven't gotten the reply you're looking for! I don't know if this helps but...

I got married at Aventura Spa Palace, but I would think the cake options might be the same, although I really don't know...

We chose the cake from their package because we didn't care enough to pay extra. I wanted something very simple and wasn't going to pay for simple. I planned on putting my own flowers on top, but they had frosting flowers and it was too difficult to do so (especially with everyone watching at the reception-ha!) so we just left it alone. It wasn't what I wanted, but I wasn't that concerned with the cake in the grand scheme of things.

Here is a picture of our cake...

and one of us cutting into it...

you can see how surprised we were that the frosting was literally stretching off!

Hello,

Yes I was super worried about this too, but once an actual coordinator gets assigned to you she will send you an email with all the info and a bunch of attachments. The pictures will obviously depend on the package you chose (ie: color). Also she will advise you that you can send a picture of a cake you like and she will show it to the decorator and let you know if they can create it.Hope this helps

I sent my cord. a pic of the cake I wanted and she said she would get back to me on $. I bought a nice cake topper so I figured if it looks crappy...at least my topper will look great. If I hadnt bought the cake topper I was just gonna take silk flower and place them around the cake.

I figured everyone should be intoxicated so in the end no one will remember the cake..lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
