Place card holder ideas

Recommended Posts

Because my ethnicity is mostly chinese, and my fiance's is mostly polish, we have a pair of wooden chopsticks with a name tag with the polish eagle on them as our place card holders! I wonder if anyone will "get" the joke. lol I think you could use almost anything for a place card holder.

I like the idea I've seen of the mini maracas with a name tag.

What's your theme?

My initial vision for our destination wedding, i invisioned: the beach, the water, the sand. nothing compares to that decoration. so i wanted ambiance.. So we're doing candles.. and lots of them!!

I'm using votive candles to double as placecards and decoration for the guest tables. I'm going to print their name on vellum and wrap it around the votive holders.

To use as escort cards, at the sign in table i purchased mini maraca's and i'll attach their name and table # to it.. I didn't feel safe having my guest walk around with lit candles to their tables. Knowing my luck, someone will light one of my aunt's hair on fire!

What about doing something like this but incorporating black and red on the cards. I think it would look super chic!

I think that I'm going to do something like this but with umbrellas that are fuschia and lime green:

Both ideas are from Martha Stewart.

OMG Mel I love those placesettings with the shells.

Jaimem I think you can use any idea that you like, just incorpoarte your colours onto the cards. You could use bright white starfish with red tags and names embossed in black. Or red ribbon on the white starfish with tags in black and white...

We purchased large scallop shells (like you use for baking) and are putting the guests names on the inside of them - we think it will look very elegant and are going to stand them up in shallow sandboxs at the sign in table. I like the mini marachi idea too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
