Did it happen to one of you?

Just don't know what to do. Like every bride to be, I searched and found the perfect dress. I had to special ordered it and I waited for it for 5 months! Yesterday, I got a phone call... my dress has arrived. I was so excited that I decided to go right away and try it on!!! It fits perfectly fine, except little "normal" alterations that have to be done. The thing is... I find it soooooo ordinary now!!! The dress is of course all paid for, so I can't change unless I loose my money and buy another one. Am I the only one that this happened to?

You are definitely NOT the only one!!

There are lots of brides on here that didn't LOVE their dress when they first tried it on. But trust me, I am 99.9% sure that the day of your wedding when you put that on, with your hair done, make-up, etc you will feel anything but ordinary!!

If you are adamant that you it's too ordinary for you, is there anyway you can alter it to make it less so??

Also...as a Noob, I will let this one slide...but once you get familiar with us crazy picture whores you will realize you MUST ALWAYS include pictures!!!

NOOO I am in the same boat. Luckily for me I only paid $100.00 which I was soo happy about at the begining. I thought what a deal $100.00 for my wedding dress, and my FI was soo happy LOL. Now I think I want something else and I only have just under 3mths to find one. It takes 4-5mths to order a new one which I didn't know. So I am left to find one off the rack and alter it. The dresses that are normally on the rack are a size 10-12 and I need a size 6 with some alterations sad.gif AHHH and of course the 2 out of 4 dresses I love are a Maggie dress (never heard of her before). Wish me luck!! Good luck to you on finding a new dress. Couldn't you add somethig to your dress to spoce it up? Possibly use your dress you have now for TTD or try and sell it on Kiijii or e-bay or back to the store??

And like Amanda said you cant be posting about your dress and not include pics for us. lol
I added accessories to it but it did not did the trick for me. Maybe I was expecting too much and now I am disapointed... I made another appointment is two weeks and I will go with make up, hair up, accessories etc... and then If I still don't like it... well I will probably cry like a big baby lol

I would love to post pictures, but the boutique where I bought the dress does not allow clients to take pictures!!! I am trying to find it on line and promise that I will post the link if I found it.

Thank you all for your support.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
