I've seen loads of photos from the sugarman estate, and it looks gorgeous.

I've eaten at spago before - I don't think you have anything to worry about, the food was delicious! and the restaurant itself is beautiful.

Hello all! I am also interested in booking the Sugarman Estate for both the ceremony and reception. Everything I have found online (including multiple forums like tripadvisor) makes it seem like a wonderful venue!

BoBride, did you also check out the Olowalu Plantation House? That is the other venue I am interested in! Also, I came across Evonne's website which seemed very nice but pretty pricey. If you don't mind my asking does she have a minimum amount or anything? On the comments section the lowest you could select was 21,000 I think and that was not including travel and accommodations. Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Hi there, we are also using those 2 venues for our May 2010 wedding. We were going to have a late afternoon ceremony at Honua Kai Lani then dinner at Spago, but now I am quite taken with your idea to do brunch first then dinner in the evening! I would be really interested to hear what your plans are, who you are using for the brunch etc. I understand photos can't be taken b/w about noon and 4pm in Wailea due to the sun/heat and trade winds so what time will your ceremony be in the morning? Is it terribly expensive hosting a brunch at the estate?

We have 26 guests so have reserved the Point of Lanai at Spago for our evening meal. We debated using the private room but felt due to it's size it would lack atmostphere for a group our size.

xx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
