      well...FI and I have been chit chatting about it this morning. ASP is lovely, but we think Sun Palace would give us a nice change of scenery and the beach is to die for....I'll let you know what we decide. eek, its hard to pick between two paradises

        I just talked to my FI about it too! I already set my travel dates with MP. Can they be changed if we decide to change resorts for our honeymoon? You can't go wrong when you have beach and sand!!! Can't wait!

          The beach set up looks gorgeous - i think they'll be able to send you some good info on the huppas(if that is what they are called!)
          Will you qualify for the free events? because we have booked through travel agents over here we don't get the free reception so that's a bit annoying! as it's an all inc resort I didn't really want to pay for a dinner however it is our wedding day and it's once in a lifetime so why not!

            I emailed my TA and she's going to get me assigned to a WC at MP!!!
            Yup, their called Huppas and they look so pretty!

            Yes, we signed a group contract so the more guests that book through our TA the better for us! Right now I have a definite 25 guests attending. How about you?

              We have 20 people booked at the moment but hoping for near 30! It's about an 11 hour flight for us so I'm grateful anyone booked :)

              I think I may be becoming addicted to this forum - and looking at wedding pictures at MP!!

                Hi, we are the same, a few of our guests booked direct with mp, others booked through Thomas Cook...so we can't get the group discount...really gutted about that cos it would have saved us a fortune! we have over 25 booked

                I was the same as you, not wanting to double up for food already included in peoples price, but it is a once in a lifetime event, and we have hired an outside photographer, so the outdoor reception will look amazing!

                My wedding co-ordinator is also Lily - she's been brilliant so far, always answers my emails, and is pretty prompt too, so I think we've landed lucky going by other peoples experiences on here!

                I got assigned her when I was still in contact with the miami office, and I questioned their policy on outside photographers, and the contact at miami cc'd me in an email with Lily...so yeah, just ask a question the onsite staff would need to answer! :)

                  I share the same sentiment with yall...it is once in a lifetime so the private reception is worth it...even if i don't get the free events.

                  so......if you haven't already added brooke as a FB friend, do it!! she put tons of pics of the wedding up and they are wonderful. AND, imo the beach and the water look spectacular!!

                    Hello girls...wow it is kind of interesting to see so many new MP brides. Kind of weird reading your posts...as they sound so similar to our posts just 6 months ago. :) Seems as if you all are getting along well with being assigned a wedding coordinator. I think only a few brides have really had some issues with this. Most of us were assigned a while back as well. Those of you who have Lily...she is way awesome. Thus far my experience with her has been positive as she responds to my emails within a few days each time....even when my wedding was 10 or so months away.

                    Is there anyone else on this thread with a different onsite coordinator assignment? If any of you aren't getting answers to questions...please do ask on here. most of us have been talking to our cooridnators for 6 months or so and have read every inch of this website. It is so addicting...I still look for stuff to this day.

                    For really great pics....check out the Del Sol photography sticky thread at the top. Del Sol has a few MP weddings in their collection that really show the resort. If I could afford them I would book them in a second!

                      i have lost a bit of motivation for the wedding at the mo, lost my mo jo a bit. i've also gone off my wedding dress!!

                      i am just looking forward to being at the MP in the sun with everyone i love and marrying the man of my dreams, the other stuff, it's not really important anymore. you know? x
