I promise I will read through, but I have more work than I know what to do with today.  I can't seem to quit thinking about it though, so I'm going to try asking in case someone can guide me to the right page or thread.

I am looking for more details on the complimentary package.  I've seen reference to different flowers that can be picked from than those in the pictures on the palace wedding site, but I haven't been able to figure out if that is just for the upper packages or if there are more options for the complimentary package as well.  For those of you that used the complimentary package, I would love to know your thoughts.

I am getting married at Cancun Palace Feb 3, 2011.

Thanks ahead for your thoughts and time!!!

From what I understand in the complimentary package you only get to choose from roses or white calla lillies. I believe for the roses you do have color options but more basic colors such as pink, red, white, etc.  I am getting the complementary package b/c you do get more choices. With the other packages, you have to go with what comes in that package, they do not do substitutions so if it says white roses, that is what you get.  A lot easier to pick and choose with the complementary package. However, if you like the colors of one of the packages and are traveling while the Palace Rewards is still going on, you can use it toward that (which you have to mention at the time of booking) and it makes it really cheap.  With the complementary package, you can't use the rewards for the wedding items.

Do you all know how this is possible since we are not allowed to bring in outside vendors? How much did you all spend on your own photographer when everything is said and done. I want to stay in budget, and a photographer is very important to me so I'm just trying to get an idea on prices!

Thank you all SO much!!

Lauren

I checked with my WC at moon palace because I had the same question as well and she said that I had to purchase a day pass for them. It worked out perfect because I was nervous about this being that I had already booked with the photographer!! I was willing to pay for 1 night stay either way because I want an outside photographer. Pictures are VERY important to me and was/am willing to do whatever I had to do to make it happen. Thankfully it worked in my favor. I booked with Moments that Matter Photography. They're vendors on this site and have great reviews on their work. Everyone raves about them. Check them out at Momentsthatmatterphotography.com :)

Hello There,

I was just wondering if any Canadians have been married at MP? And when getting married in mexico is their Marriage certificate recognized in Canada? And would there be extra steps? I noticed that most places have it translated in Spanish… is it possible for the resort to get it translated into English for an additional fee? Also what did you do for wedding favors?

sorry for all the random questions.

So I'm getting very stressed right now and need to vent. Its been very frustrating trying to communicate via email with my WC. It takes her at least a week to respond to an email so I tried calling today and found out I've been talking to my MP WC, I thought it was my Miami WC who I was never assigned to. So I was told who my Miami WC is and of course I got her voicemail. I would like to speak to someone over the phone and not on email. I have a million questions like what are my exact comps for booking more than 75 nights with the group contract, any upgrades such as flowers or decorations, dj, things like that. When do we pay for them and what's their payment method? Can we select our own vows to be read, can I have readers at the ceremony.

I also emailed Reyna at the salon over a week ago with the appointments I need to make and have not heard back from her.

Is anyone having the same peoblem with actually communicating with someone? UGH

I am having the same problem. They take forever to answer my email. And then they don't answer all of my questions. It's a little frustrating.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
