We are packed and ready to leave bright and early tomorrow morning. I am a bit bummed that the weather report shows rain, rain and more rain for the entire time we are down there. Yuck! Say a little prayer for sunshine!

Thank you all for all the wonderful ideas and great questions you've brought to the forum in the past several months. We couldn't have done all this planning without your input. As soon as we return I promise to post a full review.

Thanks again and wish for sunshine!!!

Chelle

Good luck on your special day Chelle! We won't be leaving till the 14th. Have a safe trip.
I know, I was worried about the weather reports though. Praying for good weather at least on our days!

Ps. If anyone wants to hear demos from the Mexican Trio, go to Los Ornelas and you can hear demos and see their playlist. I have asked my WC for demos of the harpist and mariachi too but wont be able to hear those until I arrive at MP so if any of you can help me, please do so xx
I have heard this Trio in person at the Sun Palace and they are AMAZING!!! Their voices are SO BEAUTIFUL in person I couldn't believe it!

Hello all....sitting at the Sweet & Coffee shop in the Nizuc lobby, drinking coffee with Todd before we meet up for breakfast with the family. So far today is the first time we have seen any rain at all! The weather reports are totally bogus in my opinion. Tt has been absolutely beautiful here!!!

The wedding coordinator appt went super well and super fast. The humidity is so high here that I didn't even have to steam my dress!!! The beach is murky....but still beautiful to walk along and watch from our room. We are heading to Beach Palace today to enjoy the pretty water!!

One note...the 1500 vacation credit thing has worked out well with a few kinks. We used our credit towards the spa (Thank GOD!!!!) and a couple of tours. However, the spots on certain tours are limited and each tour does not run every single day. Certain tours run on certain days (ex. Isla Mujeres runs every day but Sunday, but Swim with Dolphins runs on only 3 days). It makes it kind of hard to plan family excursions till everyone checks in because they won't let you book for anyone except those in your room. (I had to take my mom up to the desk after us kids figured out what we were doing. They did try the timeshare sell on us....we politely said no and they left us along.

Otherwise and is well!!! More to come when we get back.

Take care!!!

Chelle

I promise I'm going to get my review up soon. Hopefully things will slow down after my AHR tomorrow night, & I'll have time to write a review in the next week or so. I just wanted to let you guys know that I received my professional pictures (Moon Palace Photographer--not David Pena though) & my DVD today. Both are fabulous!

The DVD is more than I expected it's 25 minutes & shows before the ceremony, the procession, the full ceremony (with no music during the main part of the ceremony so you can hear the preacher's words & our vows), the champagne toast, our exit, and a good portion of our photo session on the beach. I thought it would be more like a montage of highlights from the ceremony, but I really like that it's the whole thing (especially since as the Bride you miss the first half with all the processions before yours). Also, it's all sort of a blur as it's happening, & it's nice to listen to the preacher's words again. I highly suggest adding the DVD. It was definitely worth it for me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
