I'm debating between Sapphire or Diamond collection. Blue and silver are going to be my colors for the wedding, so I guess both would work.
I'm planning to have a private cocktail/hors d'oeuvres right after the ceremony for about an hour. I guess in the meantime, new hubby and I will be taking pictures around the resort.
After the cocktail, the guests will go to a private reception (debating indoor or outdoor bc if it's an outdoor event, it has to come to an end by 10pm) where dinner will be served. And then the party will start.
During the cocktail hour, new hubby and I will be taking pics around the resort but don't want to leave the guests alone for too long. Do you think if 1 hour of photo session is enoughhuh.gif - i'm having trouble with this.
Hi ! I am getting married April 17 2010 at MP. I picked the diamond package I guess because of the color ...but you could do probably either. I just figured it was safer for me to do the diamond because my bridesmaid dresses are fushia. Congrats to you!!!

Hi Ladies--- I do know that a lot of people previously had done the free wedding and added on the things that they liked because then they could add from different collections instead of being stuck with just one choice. Also if you don't like the bouquet they have its going to cost extra for the upgraded ones. Just a heads up- my friend got married there so I have a little insider info and I am doing the free package and picking as i go!

That is one of the reasons why I chose to switch from the emerald to the complimentary package. I don't want to have to pay extra if I want to change any part of the package... so I will also add as I go! Besides, by doing so I've calculated to save about $1000 in which I intend to spend elsewhere!

Hi there I'm getting married on May 10th 2010 at the Moon Palace and have ordered the Diamond Package.

Does anybody know what the 'Honeymoon Package' includes? Also, the fireworks display is included within the package - are these set off straight after the ceremony or are they able to hold off until later in the evening?

I don't know if the packages include throwing roses but i was told that they are $48 PER bag and my friend was conservative and got 2 bags for 35 ppl and we each got one handful.... thinking of bringing them along instead now? Check out this site... Eco-Friendly Freeze Dried Rose Petals you can't use silk ones to throw (resort rules) they have to be natural with no chemicals

Hi everyone!!

I originally booked the Sapphire collection with Virgin Holidays. It cost me £1169 and I decided to change it to the free package due to the fact I would have to pay again for things I wanted to change.

Anyway, this supposed 'free' package is no longer free anymore! They are charging me £289 for legalities??

Just wondered if I booked directly through the Moon Palace would I get the wedding for free or would they add on the same costs for the legalities?

Many thanks! :)

Q. Is there an out of pocket fee for the Complimentary Wedding Package?

A. The Complimentary Package can be obtained with a civil or a symbolic ceremony. The symbolic ceremony has no additional fees associated. The civil/legal ceremony requires a $300.00 USD Government/Administrative fee. This fee includes the blood test required from all wedding couples in Mexico.

Thats whats posted on the palace resorts website - i'm going for the free package as well, but i've always known about that cost...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
