Does anyone know what section the Venado Terrace is in?  I cannot find it on the map my WC sent me.  I'm trying to reserving locations for the cocktail hour and reception.  My first choice, Tuscan Garden and Terrace has already been reserved by someone else.  Can anyone suggested any other locations?  My ceremony is at dolphin beach.

Sorry for those of you who are on the MP 2011 thread.  Reposting and hoping to get the opinions of recent brides.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone has or will be getting married at the Tucan Beach? I'm told it's directly in front of the Tucan Gazebo that's on the Nizuc side.  My fiance and I are most likely just going to have all of our guests head to one of the hotel bars after the ceremony while we take pictures instead of doing a cocktail hour.  Can anyone recommend any of the bars that are nearby? We're looking for an outdoor (by the pool) option and back-up indoor bar in case it rains.

How is the lobby bar? We are going to have around 20 people.

Thanks!

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to let you all know of a very RELIABLE and INCREDIBLE vendor I am going with to help my wedding guests get to my Moon Palace wedding!! She has been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING in the two short days I have worked with her. She is super prompt with her emails and phone calls and have given the best deals I have been able to find!!

She was willing to match my VIP Member price for my guests (but had her own very cheap prices - the difference was literally only $74), qualify them for the Vacation Dollars promotion (booking up until December 31st, not Nov 30th like Palace requires), but ALSO allow any children guests under 12 years old to come for free!!! No additional fees, no contracts!! She has also voiced her ability to coordinate with my Moon Palace wedding coordinator so that my rooms are sure to count towards my group incentives!

I feel so blessed to have found this place and I wanted to spread the good news around to all of our wonderful Palace Brides!! She is able to help with reservations from all over the country- even if you do not live in New Jersey!!

Her contact information is below, you are welcome to let her know Cynthia Guzman sent you!

I say you can pretty much wear whatever you want.  The guys in the wedding are wearing sear sucker suits and i really want to find some wedges that match that.  the only ones i can find so far though are louboutin and thats really just out of my price range!

Since we had 60 guests, our TA ask the Miami coordinator for a complimentary room to get ready in.  The room was closer to the wedding location and did not have a hot tub in it so it had more room to get ready in.  Overall it was a bigger pain though to drag all the stuff to another room and try to coordinate with the bridesmaid the room since I was not given the key or room number until the morning of the wedding.

I am worried the room is going to be to small to have my family in there with me getting ready?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
